Cruise Puerto Princesa Bay at sunset, enjoy dinner on board, and watch fireflies and bioluminescent plankton near the mangroves.
“Well organised. Comfortable mini-van pickup. When departing Bay Walk enormous flocks of giant fruit bats flew over us which was amazing. A full moon shone on us and we sailed across the bay. We were in the first group who joined a smaller boat for the mangrove trip and watched the tiny fireflies in the trees like tiny fairy lights. It was amazing. Just like magic one flew over to our boat and landed on it. Then we returned to our main boat and enjoyed a delicious buffet meal, whilst the second group went out to the mangrove. Great evening out. Could do with a little music on our return…”

Watch thousands of fireflies, enjoy dinner, and cruise Puerto Princesa’s river by paddle boat on this relaxed four-hour evening tour.
“Great great tour! Very well organised and didn’t feel touristy at all. We were pretty much the only boat there until the very end and felt super private. The guide was great, very well spoken and super friendly and enthusiastic. Food was amazing. If I had the food in a restaurant I would be very happy.”

“The activity was amazing and unique. The guide was courteous and professional. Another guide at the boat terminal provided a lot of information about the fireflies and their conservation efforts. There was sumptuous food with vegetarian options in the dinner.”

“It was a really great and unique experience! The kayaking through the Abatan River with hundreds of mangroves and palms during the day was fantastic, not to mention the firefly watching by night, which was truly magical! The guides are doing a fantastic job and we got to know so many things about the flora and fauna there. It was so nice to witness how much they know about nature and especially how they treat and respect all living species there! We can recommend this tour one hundred percent, especially if sustainability is important to you. Thanks for a truly magical and unique experience! 💚”

“The tour group were communicative right up until the time I was due to take the tour on the Monday. I'd been advised my pick up time was 5.30pm but no one showed. After 6pm they messaged to say the tour needed to be re-scheduled due to heavy rain. They informed everyone else earlier, but had forgotten me. I went on Tuesday evening instead. It is not a 'small boat' tour as there are around 30 people on the barge. You will see many fireflies but unless you have a decent camera, they are hard to photograph. The guide was OK and took photos for guests with their phone. Other…”

“Amazing Tour ! The tour company were adjusting enough to extend our pickup time due to unexpected delay in airasia flights . Safety instructions were given properly. Only one thing which was missing was instructing tourists to not use mobile flash lights while recording the fireflys. Rest it was an epic surreal experience!”

“Seeing the fireflies was amazing, and the boat guide was great - knowledgeable, funny and really good at spotting fireflies. Travelling down the river in the dark with only fireflies showing up was an amazing experience. However, the transport was a mess. There was already a large pickup window which was missed, without any notification from the organiser. There didn't seem to be great records of who was going, leading to confusion. On arrival, it was again unclear what was happening and where to go. There is little to do at the dock apart from the boat tour. Still a worthwhile trip!”

“The guys on the boat have been very nice, but the experience itself is not worth the amount of money paid. Many people, not many fireflies and with a proper boat and not a canoe or something else.”
